The Perth Mint has released the latest addition to the Masterpiece series, the eye-catching Jeweled Snake.
This is the sixth release from its exclusive range of diamond-studded coins, joining the Jeweled Phoenix, Dragon, Tiger, Horse and Koi coins.
Neil Vance, Perth Mint general manager of minted products, said he expects the Jeweled Snake will be in strong demand following a record year for sales for the mint in 2022.
“It’s a large undertaking to design and craft these intricate coins but the results are outstanding, and we have no doubt that collectors will be impressed by The Jeweled Snake’s design,” Vance said.
“The Perth Mint takes enormous pride in presenting magnificent masterpieces to the global luxury market and The Jeweled Snake is no exception. We are dedicated to creating unique, collectable art into the future.
Each Jeweled Snake coin is struck from 10oz 99.99 per cent pure gold, with the hero piece an 18-carat rose and yellow gold snake coiled around a tree branch.
The snake’s body is embellished with 175 hand-set pink diamonds sourced from the Argyle Mine, as well as 111 white diamonds, and two emeralds for its eyes.
This collection is a collaboration between the Perth Mint and famed jeweler John Glajz. The Perth Mint is the world’s largest refiner of newly mined gold.
